Embrey Mill Recreation Center and Athletic Fields
Stafford County, VA
Legacy provided testing and inspection services for Stafford County for 76,000 square foot masonry and structural steel Recreation Complex with a competition-size swimming pool. Site development included mass grading operations to construct the building pad and multiple large or tall retaining walls. Inspection services were provided in accordance with both Stafford County Special Inspection and Plan specifications. Legacy provided certified inspectors for this project and worked closely with both Stafford County and the contractors to observe and test the placement of structural fill, inspect and test concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, and structural steel. Legacy performed related laboratory tests during construction to test the degree of compaction, concrete, and grout, and completed paperwork for submission to the County.

Fredericksburg Nationals Stadium
Fredericksburg, VA
Provided construction materials testing and inspection services for a 5,000- seat multi-purpose baseball stadium including a 300-seat club facility and 13 suites located in Fredericksburg, VA. Services provided included retaining wall design and subsequent inspections, concrete testing, soils testing, structural steel inspections, welding inspections, structural masonry and steel inspections, and utility backfill.

Riverfront Park
Fredericksburg, VA
Provided observation and compaction testing for the placement of Engineered Fill and pipe backfill along with construction materials testing for concrete placement services for a nearly four-acre “smart park” located along the Rappahannock River in Fredericksburg, VA. This park features solar-powered lighting, free public Wi-Fi, flood sensors, and security cameras along with open space, event space, interactive water features, a meadow area, and a children’s play area.

Valley View Park
Prince William County, VA
Valley View park is a 125 acre park located in Prince William County, Virginia. Valley View park contains five softball fields, six soccer fields, several miles of equestrian-friendly trails, playgrounds, a sports pavilion, and a concession stand.
The Principals of Legacy Engineering, P.C. oversaw the engineering design and surveying services for the Valley View park improvements. Our Principals were called upon after the project was in process to correct problems and alleviate Prince William County Park Authority from extensive cost overruns.
