Kevin Thorstad, PE, has joined Legacy Engineering as a Project Manager, expanding the firm's land development capabilities. Kevin has over 20 years of experience and is a licensed civil engineer in Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, West Virginia, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Kevin joins Legacy from Little, a diversified architectural consulting firm where he served as the Office President at Little’s Washington DC office. Prior to that, Kevin served as Vice President of Engineering at Brightwater, Inc.
“As a seasoned Professional Engineer with over 20 years of industry experience, Kevin brings extensive design expertise, infrastructure development knowledge, and community preparedness skills to the land development team,” states Sara Fila, PE, MRED, President of Legacy Engineering.
Kevin is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. When he is not actively chauffeuring his three kids to various sports and extracurricular activities, Kevin and his wife, Emily, volunteer with dog rescues and other professional and charitable organizations throughout northern Virginia. They have done volunteer work with the Capital Area Foodbank and the Forever Home Rescue Foundation.
