Duff McDuff Access Road

Duff McDuff Green Memorial Park is located in Stafford County, Virginia. The park is located along State Route 3 and is positioned one hour south of Washington, D.C. and one hour north of Richmond, Virginia. The park boasts multiple athletic fields, picnic pavilions, a playground, trails, restroom facilities, and is home to a four-acre regional dog park. The Patawomeck Tribe of Virginia leases 17 acres of land adjacent to Duff McDuff Green Memorial Park on State Route 3. The Tribe plans to open a cultural center and museum in Green's former 3,000-square-foot residence where currently only a gravel driveway exists as an access point. Legacy Engineering partnered with Stafford County to provide pro-bono land planning, design and surverying services for the buildout of an access to both the Patawomeck Tribe's Cultural Center as well as Duff McDuff Park.

Walnut Grove Road Improvements
Stafford County, VA
Legacy provided testing and inspection services for Stafford County for the Walnut Grove Road Improvement project. Project specifications include the raising of Walnut Grove Road approximately fifteen (15) feet in elevation in conjunction with the Rocky Pen Run reservoir project. Inspection services needed to be provided in accordance with both local, Stafford County and Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) standards.

Mill Street ADA Pedestrian Improvements
Town of Occoquan
Mill Street is located in the Historic District of the Town of Occoquan, Virginia. This project consists of pedestrian improvements to the Ellicott Street (Route 1201) and Washington Street (Route 1202) Intersections along Mill Street (Route 1208). Improvements include the addition and alteration of nine curb ramps and five crosswalks. All proposed ramps will meet Americans with Disabilities (ADA) requirements.
Greenbank Road
Stafford County, VA
Legacy provided testing and inspection services for Stafford County for this waterline utility project. Greenbank Road is planned to have a 24 inch and 30 in waterline installed from Lake Mooney Reservoir up Greenbank Road and down Sanford Road. Inspection services needed to be provided in accordance with both Stafford County and VDOT standards.
Legacy provided a VDOT certified inspector for this project and worked closely with both Stafford County and VDOT inspectors. DEA observed the placement of the new waterline and compaction of soils over the waterline for support of the roadway.
Legacy performed related laboratory tests during construction to test the degree of compaction and completed paperwork for submission to the County and VDOT.

Lynhaven Lane Sight Improvements

Improvements to site distance at the intersection of Lynhaven Lane and Courthouse Road in Stafford County, VA. Project involved cutting embankment back and constructing a retaining wall in accordance with VDOT Right of Way top open site light, make necessary shoulder improvements, and taper.

Marshall Place Road Improvements

Provided construction materials testing and inspection services for roadway improvements along Marshall Place Road in Stafford County, Virginia. Inspection services provided in accordance with local and Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) standards. Services provided included on-site soils and materials tests and controls, utility backfill and asphalt placement services.
